The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to genuinely lead a highly motivated team delivering high quality development services across a wide-range of developments.  The Team Leader is provided extensive delegated authority to focus on delivering exceptional customer service outcomes with a dedicated team. 

As an experienced planning professional, you will use your skills and enthusiasm to lead a professional team to work alongside the community, industry, and other stakeholders to facilitate positive development outcomes within Salisbury. 

Critical to your success in this role will be your excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-honed negotiation skills, and your ability to apply these skills in a pragmatic and relevant way. 

This position is a full time, 5 year contract.

Specialist Skills, Required Knowledge and Conditions:

  • A degree or post graduate qualification in Planning
  • Experience and a desire for leading people
  • Eligibility for Accredited Professional Planning Level 1 (Assessment Manager) under Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 Accreditation Scheme
  • Extensive experience in assessing and negotiating outcomes on complex development issues.
