The role: The Salisbury Memorial Park is committed to providing the very best facilities with caring compassionate service. Based at the Community Hub, this position will be responsible for the efficient coordination of services for the Salisbury Memorial Park as well as providing general clerical assistance to the Team Leader, Sport, Recreation and Cemeteries. As the first point of contact for the Salisbury Memorial Park you will respond to customer enquiries with sensitivity and confidentiality. This will require an understanding of Local Government, community services, cemetery services and most importantly the ability to display courtesy, empathy and tact at all times. Specialist Skills, Required Knowledge and Conditions: Courtesy, empathy, sensitivity and tact when dealing with customers, specifically those in grief. Knowledge of work activities performed within the Department, together with a sound knowledge of procedural, operational and legislative methods of the work area and funeral industry. Advanced level of proficiency in the operation of Microsoft Office applications Who you are: Experience in dealing with people in crisis/grief. Excellent attention to detail. What’s in it for you?
