As a Development Engineer at the City of Salisbury, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply new skills that will provide you with a unique skill-set that will be highly regarded within the industry. Those who work well in a team environment, as well as on their own and who demonstrate attention to detail, drive and enthusiasm in their work will excel in this role.
This position will assist with processing, checking and investigating engineering designs, calculations and specifications associated with development applications and subdivisional works. The appointment will assist with the implementation of a compliance framework for new infrastructure delivered to Council as part of development works.
You will possess a good working knowledge of the investigation, design and construction for roads and drainage and/or experience in the design and construction of structures that will enable you to deliver a high level of customer service to our community. Some knowledge of the Development Act and Local Government Act is advantageous, as is experience in using engineering software such as DRAINS or AutoCAD.
With solid negotiation skills, and a willingness to achieve timely and effective outcomes this role will be varied and challenging as well as offering both professional and personal growth potential.
Essential for this position is a current driver’s licence, tertiary engineering qualifications and intermediate computing skills. Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to stay cool when meeting deadlines are also required.
Remuneration is dependent on relevant skills and experience and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
This position is a 2 Year Fixed Term Contract, Part-time 15.2 hours per week. Salary Range (Level 3 – 5 MOA) $66,910 – $84,207 FTE per annum + super.
