This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that provides a high level of service to the Salisbury community and stakeholders.

An opportunity exists for you to join the City of Salisbury’s Development Services Division in a key role as a Development Officer Planning. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be encouraged to use your energy and skills to maximise the division’s contribution to the ongoing development of Salisbury.

In this role you will provide advice to stakeholders on a range of development outcomes, assess development applications and monitor implementation of development in accordance with the Development Act and Regulations, and other relevant legislation.

You will possess a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation that will enable delivery of a high level of customer service to our stakeholders and ensure compliance is met in developments.

Critical to your success in this role will be your excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-honed negotiation skills and your ability to apply these skills in a pragmatic and relevant way. This role will be varied and challenging with professional and personal growth being the beneficial outcome.

Essential for this position is qualifications in urban and/or regional planning, together with a current Class 1 driver’s licence, as well as good computing literacy.

Remuneration is dependent on relevant skills and experience and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
