Community Planner: Place Activation
  • An exciting new community and cultural development opportunity
  • Fulltime (18 month contract)
  • Salary Range: AS Level 4 $73,835 - $79,019 Per annum + super

We are seeking a high performing individual to fill an exciting new role, within the Community Planning and Vitality division. This position contributes to the place making and activation of public spaces and places of significance across the City of Salisbury.

Reporting to the Team Leader Place: Curation & Cultural Development, this exciting role will be responsible for key place activation and cultural development projects including:

Coordination of the following headline events:

  • Australia Day
  • Salisbury Secret Garden - Venues & Schools Program
  • International Women's Day Breakfast
  • Salisbury Plays
  • Event Liaison for City of Salisbury supported events

Coordination of key cultural development projects:

  • Securing funding and sponsorship.
  • Planning, implementation and reporting on the Community Event Sponsorship Funding Program.
  • Providing event funding and planning information and guidance to community groups.

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in the coordination, management and monitoring of medium to large corporate or community events projects and programs, exceptional time management skills and communication skills and demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of effective relationships and partnerships with community and other stakeholders.
